Addl CS Vivek Bhardwaj launches DIC Handbook in Jammu.

JAMMU, 12th July: Vivek Bhardwaj, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Industries and Commerce, today launched the District Industries Center (DIC) eBook, Jammu and also released the second edition of the Department of Industries Handbook and trade, in Udyog Bhawan here.
Director Industries & Commerce (I&C), Jammu, Anoo Malhotra; Co-Director, I&C Development, Ved Prakash; CAO, I&C, Riyaz Hussian, General Manager, DIC, Jammu, Subah Mehta, Functional Managers, Industrial Promotion Officers and other relevant managers were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ACS said that the manual along with the e-book will play a vital role in facilitating young aspirants and aspiring entrepreneurs while executing their plans for establishing a business unit. He added that the manual and e-book contain all the necessary information regarding policies and different schemes for aspiring entrepreneurs and will serve as an awareness step for investment in J&K’s industrial sector.
The occasionally published handbook contains all the details of the manufacturing/services sector. In addition to this, it also contains the policies of Indian government as well as J&K UT regarding the industrial sector for the awareness of budding entrepreneurs/existing industrial companies. The edition has been updated with all government decrees/circulars/orders/procedural guidelines of the MSME (manufacturing/service) sector which will serve as a guide for all users.
Likewise, the e-book contains details of the services provided by DIC, Jammu and will be of great help to budding entrepreneurs as well as existing entrepreneurs. It also contains activities like success stories of MSME/SMEGP units in Jammu district, checklist/procedure for availing services and incentives under different schemes, details of job creation scheme Prime Minister jobs, Udyam records, GeM, TReDS among others.
